7-7-11 - Response from Mayor Kelley to (me) Norman Echelberry

Norm. we all (especially Steven, and Joyce and commission) have worked very hard to seek "VOLUNTARY COMPLIANCE"  to suggested flight patterns. As you know there are no lanes, or defined space other than restricted air space that air traffic is restricted to. The airspace is controlled by the FAA, not the city of Ormond Beach. I feel that the pilots have been for the most part complying with certain residential no fly or fly quiet areas. Weather conditions often affect air traffic patterns as you also are aware. We/I will continue to seek better compliance with the pilots and those flight schools who provide training.
